Nicola is a slightly yellow fleshed potato with a slight sweet taste, a very suitable cooking potato. It generally sets a lot of tubers. Makes a terrific salad or boiling potato but is also great for mash, dry baking and gratins and baked dishes but not recommended for frying.
Nicola is a waxy potato and can be used for the following cooking styles:
- Salad – Excellent
- Mash – Good
- Boiling – Excellent
- Dry Bake – Good
- Roast – Good
- Fry (Chips) – No
Nicola is an indeterminate variety.
