The Russet Burbank potato is a large potato cultivar with dark brown skin and lots of eyes. Its flesh is white, dry, and mealy, and it is good for baking, mashing, and french fries.
As the largest seed potato producer in Australia we provide very large quantities of certified seed potatoes to a range of agribusinesses from small farms to large producers and processors. After numerous requests we can now offer the home gardener an option to purchase our high quality seed year round across Australia (excl WA).
We have stock of some varieties year round (excluding our 6 week harvest) because we run the most technically advanced seed potato cool store in Australia. No-more waiting until September or October for limited stock at the hardware store.
Potatoes are very easy to grow and you’ll be surprised at the very many health benefits when you grow your own. Our certified seed potato varieties are mass production varieties, but there’s a reason they are so popular; they are easier to grow, have bigger yields and taste amazing.

Dutch Cream are the queen of potatoes! They’re a large waxy oval potato with yellow flesh, thin skin and a rich, buttery taste. They make gorgeous mash or are equally delicious boiled, roasted, baked and pureed.

La Ratte potato is a small fingerling seed potato with a unique nutty flavour and smooth, buttery texture. Similar to the Kipfler, this potato is over 100 years old and comes from France.
There is a very famous chef in France – Joël Robuchon that makes the best mashed potatoes in the world using La Rattes.
A long to oval shaped all-rounder with white flesh and skin that’s common in supermarkets. Sebago is an all-purpose potato due to its medium starch content. This potato is great for boiling, mash, roasting, baking, chips and mash.
A waxy, yellow-fleshed potato with a nutty flavour that makes great salads and can be boiled, steamed or baked. Famous especially in Southern Tasmania where they have gained a well deserved reputation for magnificent potato salads and perfect roasts.
The Kipfler seed potato is a small elongated fingerling seed potato with a nutty buttery taste ideal for salads and great for baking and boiling.
Nicola is a slightly yellow fleshed potato with a slight sweet taste, a very suitable cooking potato. It generally sets a lot of tubers.
An all-rounder and old favourite with white firm flesh and thin skin. Its good for baking, boiling and is very popular for chips.
The Desiree Potato is a great all-rounder. These versatile potatoes have waxy pink-red skin and creamy yellow flesh. Desiree potatoes have a firm, creamy tasting flesh making them ideal for smooth mash. Desiree potatoes are also ideal for making Gnocchi.
A fingerling heritage variety potato. The Pink Fir Apple potato is long, narrow and has knobbly pink skinned tubers of butter yellow, waxy flesh. An unusual potato that’s great as a salad potato but can also be used to make delicious chips.

A vibrant purple potato with deep purple flesh. This potato is particularly good for baking, mashing and gnocchi and has a nice balanced starch content. Sapphire keeps its purple colour even when cooked.
