Happy New Year
Happy New Year from the team at Agronico. 2018 is going to be a bumper year for us with almost 9,000 tonnes of seed potatoes to be harvested in March-May.
With planting successfully completed by early December, the fields are looking great. The warmer than average weather, dry conditions in December and quality planting set-up has meant the potatoes are in the best possible shape going into late summer.

2017 was a record year for Agronico’s minituber facility with over 200,000 minitubers produced for both Agronico and clients across Australia. Agronico is committed to investing at every stage of our seed potato production and in 2018 made significant changes to our current minituber facility with a custom built cool room to accommodate the increase in production.

We will be continuing the momentum in 2018 with projected orders of up to 300,000 minitubers. Along with the record production, 2018 will see the building of a new glass house plant breeding rights facility and the implementation of a new minituber research system. This new system will will target quality, tuber p-age and system productivity.
